Gallia Vinton ESC has trainings for RE Year 1, RE Year 2 and RESA Candidates

Program Coordinators are currently conducting meetings for those teachers who are presently in the Ohio Resident Educator Program.  This is a four year program that utilizes Mentors, Facilitators and Peer Collaborators to enable teachers to become more efficient in their use of the teaching standards, the model curriculum, differentiation and collaboration.  The first two years Resident Educators are mentored by a peer from their school district,  The third year is the RESA (Resident Educator Summative Assessment) where the RE showcases their skills through video taping of lessons and rigorously verbalizing the components/goals/skills that they are striving for their students to achieve.  These are sent electronically to Educopia where a trained evaluator will view their teaching videos and grade the teachers abilities to convey differentiation, rigor, assessment for student success in their lesson.   If they are not successful in this evaluation they have multiple opportunities to resubmit in the following years.   Once they have successfully completed year three they will move to year four of the residency.   Year four of the program is a Leadership piece that encourages teachers to create an Action Plan that they initiate to provide leadership support and growth within their district.
