Five Star Liberty Training Focus on Pennsylvania

   Forty teachers from several area schools met for a two day training at the Gallia Vinton Educational Service Center.  Social Studies Lessons were brought to life by historian Dr. Morris who presented using lecture, presentations, interactive games and videos.  Teachers were also given two books (The Johnstown Flood by David McCullough and Life in the Keyston State! Famous People! Stories from Pennsylvania's Past! And Much More by Erin McHugh) as resources to prepare them for a Five Star Liberty summer tour of Pennsylvania's rich heritage.  The purpose of these trainings is to give teachers a wealth of knowledge in the Social Studies Field on states that border Ohio to allow them to extend their classroom instruction to their students and build on their love of social studies.
