The District 14 Science Day was held at the University of Rio Grande in partnership with the Gallia-Vinton ESC. 138 students participated displaying 119 projects. All 5 counties in District 14, Adams, Gallia, Lawrence, Pike, and Scioto, were represented by 30 different schools. There were 44 State Science Qualifiers (including Emma Shamblin from South Gallia Middle School) which will be held May 13 at the Ohio State University. 12 students qualified for the Buckeye Science and Engineering Day which will be held April 1 at Nationwide and Ohio Farm Bureau 4-H Center at The Ohio State University. Out of 16 special awards sponsored by various venders, 32 students received awards that valued at more than $2,700.00.
