Gallia-Vinton Educational Service Center welcomes Annika Moore, Education Program Specialist in Mathematics from the Office of Learning and Instructional Strategies (OLIS), back to southeastern Ohio.
Participants will:
1) Share math talk experiences, student samples, ideas, and resources used in developing DOK
level questions and tasks.
2) Collaborate with colleagues while designing a week long high-quality lesson using content
standards, performance level descriptors, and Mathematical Practices.
Who should attend?
Math Teachers, Intervention Specialists, Building Principals, Curriculum Directors, Instructional Coaches, and Representatives from other Education Service Centers.
Prior to registering, participants are requested to have the following information:
Identify a Math topic that you plan to teach after the March training.
Identify the grade level or course for the lesson.
Identify the content standard(s) associated with the lesson.
Identify the Mathematical Practices for the lesson.
* If participant is not a teacher, please answer the prompts with the name of your position, for example, District Curriculum Director, ESC Curriculum Consultant, Principal, etc.
