Joint School Boards Meet at the University of Rio Grande
The Gallia-Vinton Educational Service Center hosted the Joint School Board Training on August 9, 2017 for seven boards of education: Gallia County Local, Gallipolis City, Vinton County Local, Jackson City, Wellston City, Gallia-Jackson-Vinton JVSD and the Gallia-Vinton ESC.
A panel discussion was held on the "Opioid Epidemic" that included the following panel members: Robin Harris, Executive Director, Gallia-Jackson-Meigs ADAMHS Board; Judge Eric Mulford, Gallipolis Municipal Court; Matthew Champlin, Gallia County Sheriff; Amy Sisson, Director of Counseling, Wing Haven; Amber Richards, Rehabilitation Counselor, Field of Hope.
Special music was provided by Sam Stephens on the keyboard and saxophone.
