Governing Board January Organizational Meeting

Brandi Betts and Jay CarterDavid Stiffler and Jay CarterAt the January organizational meeting of the Gallia-Vinton ESC Governing Board, all board members were recognized for their vital roles in celebration of National School Board Month. The meeting also established key leadership roles, with Mr. David Stiffler, Jr. elected as president and Ms. Brandi Betts as vice president, reflecting the board’s dedication to advancing the mission of the GVESC in supporting local schools and communities. Mr. Jay Carter, treasurer, administered the Oath of Office to Mr. Stiffler and Ms. Betts, marking the beginning of their renewed commitment to service.
Additionally, the GVESC Governing Board appointed Fannie Metcalf as Legislative Liaison and Ernestine Smith as Student Achievement Liaison. Mrs. Metcalf will serve as the board’s primary connection to monitoring education-related legislation and sharing critical updates with the board to ensure informed decision-making and advocacy for local schools.  Meanwhile, Mrs. Smith, as Student Achievement Liaison, will focus on advocating for student success, working to highlight strategies that improve academic outcomes and foster educational growth throughout the region.

The GVESC recognizes and appreciates the crucial contributions of its governing board. Their leadership and vision continue to strengthen services, promoting growth and success across southeastern Ohio.
