David Moore, a consultant with the Gallia-Vinton ESC, was honored during the River Valley Athletic Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony on December 28, 2024. Moore served as a teacher at River Valley High School (1992-1997) and acting assistant principal (1997-1999). He later held principal roles at Kyger Creek Middle School, Bidwell-Porter Elementary, and River Valley Middle School, retiring in 2014. As a coach, Moore led the first JV volleyball team and was River Valley's first Girls' Varsity Basketball Coach, achieving two sectional championships (1997, 1998) and a district runner-up title (1998). He also coached Hall of Famers Amber Staton and Sarah Ward. This well-deserved recognition celebrates Moore’s lasting contributions to education and athletics.
