Gallia-Vinton ESC Secures 21st Century Community Learning Center Grants

The Gallia-Vinton Educational Service Center is thrilled to announce the outstanding achievements of area schools in securing Ohio’s Nita M. Lowey 21st Century Community Learning Center grants. These competitive federal grants are a significant win for our community, providing essential program funds for the next five years. The 21st Century Community Learning Centers program is designed to support math and literacy enrichment, positive youth development, family engagement, and more during non-school hours, including before and after school, as well as summer instruction. Each program partners with a community organization to ensure mutual support and a comprehensive approach to education.  The Gallia-Vinton ESC has proudly helped secure four new grants for the 2024-2025 school year in Gallia County at Hannan Trace Elementary and  Southwestern Elementary and in Jackson County at Southview Elementary and Jackson High School. With this funding, we will continue to operate before and afterschool programs across school districts in Gallia, Jackson, Vinton, and Lawrence Counties. We look forward to seeing the positive impact these grants will have on our students, their families, and our community.
