GVESC Collaborates with Jackson County Job & Family Services for Upcoming Family Engagement Events
Karen Boch, Emily Crabtree, Dr Denise Shockley and JFS staffThe GVESC recently met with Jackson County Job & Family Services to plan two impactful family engagement events: Treasure Your Family and Healthy Kick Start. These events are designed to bring families together and promote wellness within the community. As a result of this collaboration, Treasure Your Family will culminate in a special event on June 5, 2025, at the Jackson High School Commons, celebrating the importance of 
family connections. Meanwhile, Healthy Kick Start will take place on July 26, 2025, at the Jackson City Schools Field House, focusing on health, wellness, and resources to support families. 

The GVESC is excited to partner with local schools to create meaningful experiences for families and strengthen community ties. Stay tuned for more details as we work together to make these events a success! The planning team includes Tammy Osborne-Smith, Director of Jackson County Job & Family Services; Tracy Hughes, Assistant Director; Teri McGraw, Deputy Director of Fiscal, Policy, and Operations; as well as Dr. Denise Shockley, Emily Crabtree, and Karen Boch representing the GVESC.
