Fannie Metcalf will fill the vacant seat on the GVESC Governing Board and will represent Gallia County, Subdistrict #5. Mrs. Metcalf is a retired teacher who taught 2nd grade for 29 years in Gallia County Local Schools. She has previously served as a consultant for the GVESC and has been influential in establishing the 21st Century Community Learning Centers known as afterschool programs in the area. Mrs. Metcalf was recently sworn into office by the GVESC Treasurer, Jay Carter, at the December 13, 2022, Governing Board meeting.
