Ohio Revised Code (ORC 3319.60) established an Educator Standards Board (ESB) responsible for developing and recommending to the state board of education standards for entering and continuing in the educator professions and standards for educator professional development. There are two subcommittees: licensure and standards. Karen Boch was appointed by Speaker of the House Jason Stephens for a second two-year term and serves on the licensure subcommittee. At the first annual meeting the ESB voted to move the revised Treasurer and Business Manager's Standards out of committee. The standards will now go to the Ohio State Board of Education.
