Region 9 hosted its Ohio History Day competition on March 2, 2024, at the University of Rio Grande. Students spanning grades 6 through 12 showcased a diverse array of projects for evaluation, including documentaries, junior and senior individual exhibits, group exhibits, and performances. Embracing the theme of "Turning Points in History," participants explored pivotal ideas, events, or actions that sparked significant change.
Among the participating schools were River Valley Middle and High School and South Gallia High School. The top three entries in each category will proudly represent Region 9 at the upcoming state competition. Winners at the Ohio History Day state level will secure a chance to compete in the national event held in June.
