On April 10th, 2024, the Business Advisory Council Meeting, convened at the Holzer Leadership & Innovation Institute in Gallipolis, Ohio. Special Guest Paul Larue, President of the State Board of Education, joined as members focused on strengthening their plan, discussing current initiatives, and exploring future endeavors. Discussions centered on the best practices of developing professional skills for future careers, building partnerships, and coordinating career-related experiences. Members also shared insights into future initiatives aimed at benefiting students in their education and career pathways. All Ohio school districts and Educational Service Centers require a Business Advisory Council, totaling over 110 councils statewide. Partnerships between Gallia, Jackson, and Vinton County schools and businesses improve students' learning with real-world experiences, connecting education to local economic needs.
