Rio Student Teachers Ready to Rock Their First Year

Student teachers from the University of Rio Grande, led by Assistant Professor Nanetta Fults, are gearing up for their first year in the classroom. They recently visited the GVESC to get some insider tips on best practices to kick off their teaching careers. Julie Haines and Katie Kilgour from the GVESC shared valuable insights about teacher licensure, the Ohio Resident Educator Program, and the Resident Educator Summative Assessment. During the session, they also discussed the importance of building relationships, practicing reflection, and building resilience. These biyearly sessions set out to ensure that both the new teachers and their future students have top-notch learning experiences.
