Doug Hale has been employed as Superintendent of the Chesapeake Union Exempted Village Schools effective February 15, 2021. He envisions that everyone that attends school at Chesapeake will experience success and be prepared for entering a career field and/or pursuing higher education. Doug notes that in-person instruction has increased since the beginning of the school year, technology devices are provided one-to-one for students, and the consumption of breakfast and lunch continues to increase. He believes that one of the greatest compliments anyone could give him is that he treats people fairly and with respect. Doug also said that staff will notice that he shows up on time, works hard at his job, and takes care of his family. The Gallia-Vinton ESC family is proud of Doug in embarking on the next chapter in his life. When asked what he remembers the most about working at the ESC, Doug said, “The Gallia-Vinton ESC staff is an outstanding group of professional educators that make it their mission to help kids, teachers, schools and communities throughout southeastern Ohio. I especially remember the impact that Career Palooza provided in exposing students to career opportunities.”
